How to run System Restore from the command line in Windows Vista, XP
This post shows you how to launch the System Restore program from the command line in Windows Vista, XP
It often happens that the simplest way to fix your Windows issues is to use System Restore. Sometimes, System Restore refuses to launch from the GUI, means of of the only ways to open it is via the command prompt. But what command do you use? No worries, see below:
- Click Start -> Run
- Type: %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe and press Enter
