Turn off "Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration" in Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2003

Simply follow the easy steps below to turn off Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2003.

1. Open Server Manager

2. Ensure that Server Manager is selected. Now click "Configure IE ESC" on the right hand pane. (See picture below)


 3. Set both Administrators and Users to Off (See picture below)



5. Close Internet Explorer.

6. The next time you open Internet Explorer Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration will be disabled.

1. Open the Control Panel

2. Open "Add or Remove Programs"

3.Select "Add/Remove Windows Components"

4. Un-tick the checkbox labeled "Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration" and click "Next"

5. Close Internet Explorer.

6. The next time you open Internet Explorer Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration will be disabled.
