How to create a quick shutdown shortcut in Windows XP
Windows XP has a function called shutdown.exe which allows you to easily create shortcut to shutdown or restart your computer.
To create a shutdown shortcut on the desktop:
- Right-click on the desktop.
- Click New -> Shortcut [See pic below]- Type in shutdown -s -t 00 [See pic below]
- Now click Next
- Type a name for this shortcut. (Name it Quick Shutdown or similar)
- Click Finish
