The end of the road for Microsoft Office XP and Vista SP1
At the end of today, Microsoft will officially be retiring Office XP and Vista Service Pack 1. Both products have reached the end of their support phase (extended support phase for Office XP), which means that Microsoft will stop releasing hotfixes and security updates for these products.
Office XP was released back in May 2001. It introduced SharePoint, Web Services integration and speech recognition among other never before seen features.
