How to "change the Product Key" in Microsoft Office 2010
After the 30 trial period of Microsoft Office 2010 lapses you'll have a to enter a product key and have the software activated either online or via telephone with Microsoft. A few people have emailed me as they weren't sure where to go within the Office 2010 suite to enter their product key. Here's how you do it:
- Insert your Microsoft Office 2010 install disc and run setup.exe (If you have an ISO them simply extract all the files from withing the image to a folder on your computer and run setup.exe (you will the following)
- Select Enter a Product Key and click Continue (see below)
- Simple type in your 25-character product key and click Continue. Ensure that you are connected to the internet before clicking Continue as the activation will contact Microsoft servers immediately (see below)
