How to change the location of the Print Spooler in Windows 7
To change the location for the printer spooler files, follow these steps:
- Click Start - Devices and Printers
- Click on any printer and Click Print Server Properties (see pic below)
- Click the Advanced tab (See pic below)
- Simply enter the location where you would like to spool print jobs. If the location doesn't exist, this process will create it for you. Ensure that the new location has sufficient disk space to handle large print jobs
- Click Start - Run
- In the run dialog box type services.msc
- Locate the Printer Spooler service
- Right-click the Printer Spooler service and click Restart
