When you install Google applications like Chrome or Desktop onto your computer an exe named GoogleUpdate.exe is also included in the package. This runs in the background and checks for updates for Google’s programs. This pesky little updater runs as a process in Windows XP and Vista and chews up valuable memory! Since everyone knows that having too many running processes can slow your computer down, it makes sense to disable Googleupdate completely. Here's how you do it:

- Go to your Control Panel -> Scheduled Tasks

- Select GoogleUpdateTaskUser

- Then right-click GoogleUpdateTaskUser and click Delete. This will prevent the task from relaunching itself.

- To remove the active process, right-click on the your taskbar and select Task Manager from the context menu.

- Within task manager, select GoogleUpdate.exe and click the End Process button. Confirm when the dialog box appears.

ImgBurn

ImgBurn has been one of my favorite CD/DVD burning apps for a long time and now it also supports Blu-ray discs, which makes it even better! It has a bunch of other features that make it popular, including supporting the latest drives, the ability to batch create images, support for a wide range of image file formats, and lots more.

Express Burn

Express Burn uses a propreitary optimization system and claims to be the fastest CD/DVD burning software. Not sure if that’s true or not! Has all the features mentioned earlier, plus some extra like recording video files to PAL or NTSC format and choice of widescreen or standard format for DVD authoring.

FinalBurner

Finally, FinalBurner is the last free Blu-ray supporting disc burning software out there. You can use it to create a data cd, audio cd, and video cd.

It installs itself as a virtual PDF printer driver so after a successful installation will appear in your Printers and Faxes list. To convert to PDF, you just have to print the document to doPDF, the free pdf converter. Open a document (with Microsoft Word, WordPad, NotePad or any other software), choose Print and select doPDF. It will ask you where to save the PDF file and when finished, the PDF file will be automatically opened in your default PDF viewer.

You finally get to the webpage you've been surfing for and now you've accidentally closed the tab. This can be a very frustrating situation. Chrome is quite forgiving and allows you to easily reopen the closed tab, even if you've closed other tabs after it.

Using a Keyboard Shortcut:
By using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+T, Chrome will open the last tab that was closed. Use the keyboard shortcut again, and it will open the tab that was closed before that, and so on. You can use this method to restore up to the last 10 tabs that have been closed during your browsing session.

Using the New Tab Page:
Open up a new tab. Go to Recently closed tabs section located in the lower-right of the page. You will find the last 3 tabs that have recently been closed during your browser session.
